Stalker - s/t (cd)

10e

Lonely, chaotic, dark, obscure, black as pitch and threatening post metal - post hardcore with slugde basis and psych shades in the vein of Neurosis or Isis. Desperate and suffering vocals singing of more and more apocalypses, alienation and nihilism. Ex Kafka people!

*Produzioni Sante*

Stop It! - 2001/2002 greatest hits - the demo (cd)

8e

From Richmond, VA, and with a not-negligible music background that involve bands like City Of Caterpillar and Municipal Waste, this guys play some post-hardcore/post-punk with a lot of up&down from chaotic noisy screamed parts and gloomy elaborated clean melodies, near to The Catalyst and Malady stuff.

Stop It! - self made maps (cd)

8e

Debut full lenght for this guys from Richmond, VA, that explore, like many bands from that area, the deeps and multiple personality of post-- dark rock music, from melodic to harsh and frantic noisy parts, with a shouted but sometimes harmonic vocals. *Robotic Empire / Perpetual Motion Machine*

Summer Camp Disease / Lady Tornado - split 7"

4e

First Lady Tornado release, i've waited for a "first release" since the first time i saw them live, it was about "...wow! i want to buy all the records they put out till now. what? they haven't any record out??!". Furious rocky grindcore, something about that "tornado" doesn't sound like a metaphor. Split with their rocky-hardcore mates S.C.D, printed on red wax.

*Tornado Ride Records*

Swarrrm - dance/swirl/doom "picture record" 7"

4,5e

Totally crasy ultrafast ultratechnical chaos grind from Japan, in the vein of early Locust. Both-side picture disc with sick post-atomical artwork by Masahiko Ohno.

*Crucificados Pelo Sistema*

Swarrrm / Crowpath - split 7"

4e

Japan/Sweden split for an absolute grind triumph. The chaos grind monsters Swarrrm halve this plastic piece with thrashy northern metal-grind Crowpath. Impressionism style artwork, what about?

*Crucificados Pelo Sistema*

Swarrrm / Narcosis - split 7"

4e

This time the Japan crazyness of Swarrrm share the space on the vinyl with ultrafast grind master Narcosis from U.K. The split has a happy upside-down cross artowork that enclose a beautiful trasparent vinyl.

*Crucificados Pelo Sistema*

Tar... Feathers / Happiness - split LP

10e

Indie-rock pop "early nineties-style" stuff, and fuckin' good. Coming from Sweden and Finland, both playing something you could dance, with some bass lines of 80's Cure stuff or maybe Clash ones, is something you have to listen to.

*Adagio830*

The Birds Are Spies, They Report To The Trees - the single series O ("sorsia") 7"

3,5e

This emo band from Norway, featured members of Catena Collapse, will throw you directly back to the nineties, all without a DeLorean. They play an absolute beatiful, passionate, crunchy and dirty emo you could love. I'm talking about stuff ala Catena Collapse, Belle Epoque, following in Ordination Of Aaron, Cap'n Jazz and Indian Summer footsteps.

*Ape Must Not Kill Ape / From A Strangers Hands*

The Third Memory - et de cela rien ne ressort LP

9e

Some angry and fast screamo punk-hardcore from france, a meeting point of 90's screamo and 80's fast punk-hc, maybe in a bit crust way, with french desperate vocals. Beautiful silver/white silkscreened cover and inlay sheet.

*I've Come For Your Children / Rok Lok*

The Third Memory - s/t (2nd 12")

Second release for these french guys that mix in a perfect way the desperation and sadness of emoviolence and the angry of crust-punk and 84 punk hc.

Thou / Leech - We Pass Like Night, From Land to Land (split LP)

12e

The NOLA sludge monsters THOU continue to crank out high quality releases spitting pure venom. Expect once more a heavy and brutal guitar assault from deep down below accompanied by a sick and frustrated vocalist, setting senseless destruction against everything into music. LEECH, play fast and raw, yet melancholic, despaired black metal in the vein of WEAKLING. Spreaging an atmosphere of hopelessness, haunted by self-hate and nihilism, this might be the perfect soundtrack for suicide. (from Vendetta)

*Vendetta*

Thou / Salome - Our Enemy Civilization (split LP)

12e

Another killer release from Vendetta, once again combining two ugly, brutal, slow and heavy bands, this time from the U.s.. Southerners THOU come with thick slugde-core that doesn't fear occasional hymnical moments and quiet interludes before falling again into an abyss of black, hateful slowliness. Virginia-based SALOME instead serve stripped-down stark sludge-doom and prove that it needs no more than drums, a guitar and a vitriol-filled voice to deliver nothing but pure hatred.

*Vendetta*

Titan - the crysanthemum pledge LP

7e

From Canada, these guys play an heavy, epic and destructing metallic hardcore, maybe a little near to Concrete but also to Acme and June Paik in their last works.

*React With Protest*

Towers - s/t LP

9e

Totally crazy and full of feedback noise w/ screamed vocals. Noisy Noisy Noisy Noise, with a bit of Locust, a bit of Orchid, a bit of metal and a lot of mental illness, all mixed and melt together and changed into more or less dissonant melodies or whatever could be hit your ears coming out from this plastic musical support. Is it enough?

*Electric Human Project / React With Protest / Turnstile*

Trencher / Cutting Pink With Knives - the process of village burning down 5"

6e

Sick digital/chaos grind split from United Kingdom, simply a crazy and violent hymn to fastness. Cutting Pink With Knives give their best in sofly keyboards and ultrafast beating and screamed assault alternations, but when you heard Trencher start playing a grind version of The Godfather, and end with a grinder version (yes, i mean more grind) of Napalm Death, you think to sure have well done to get this one. Beautiful package "matchbox style", red wax vinyl.

*Crucificados Pelo Sistema / Life In A Box / White Heat*

Trencher / Esquilax - split 10"

8e

Casiogrind vs Splattertronic, from the Uk. A brutal and absolutely grinding, sick, noisy and chaotic electro-blitz on your nerves, psychosis at pure form.

Trencher - when dracula thinks "look at me" (onesided 12")

9e

"Casiogrind" from U.K., lightning-speed sick digital chaosgrind, something like the head-explosion in David Cronenberg's Scanners but into your brain and during 18 minutes in 14 tracks. One sided pink vinyl 12".

*Wakusei Records / Crucificados Pelo Sistema*

Un Quarto Morto - la semina e il raccolto 7"

3,5e

If you like hardcore, and if you like it fast and pissy, i think that the "Dead Quarter" (il quarto morto) is something you have to listen at. Conscious and introspective lyrics make a portrait of everyday life when maybe the apocalypse has already come. Great, seriously.

*d.i.y. conspiracy co-production*

Un Quarto Morto - il dono della sintesi (first fast three years collection cd)

5e

First three years collection for these grinding fastcore italian guys that, besides a continuous activity in songs composition and live sets, keep giving important messages through their intelligent lyrics that, as well as their artistic value, have a strong social and political consciousness.

*d.i.y. conspiracy super co-production*

Un Quarto Morto / Entact "split 2010" (silkscreened digipack cd)

Under The Pledge Of Secrecy - the convoluted line LP

9e

Math-metal hardcore from Germany, chaotic and brutal with change-rhythm breaks, brutal voice and jazz derivations, something like Dillinger Escape Plan mixed with some thrash metal.

Debut lp for this band from Brooklyn NY that play some Washington D.C. inspired dissonant melodic punk ala Fugazi.

*Rok Lok Records / Life In A Box Rec.*

Violentbreakfast - nient'altro che tempo (cd)

9e

Last work for these italian guys: we find their songs more dour but more sweet than the previous works, with more complex composition melodies, with less Song Of Zarathustra or Orchid influences and a more melodic 90's screamo stuff ala Portraits Of Past, like the germans Yage, french bands like Daitro and Sed Non Satiata and american Funeral Diner. Digipack folder with beautiful artwork that tell me "grey today but more grey tomorrow".

*Donnabavosa / HorrorVacuiTheatre / OSK / Gaffer / El Club Silencio*

Vulturum - vineta LP

10e

From the north of Italy, this amazing trio is already at their first release one of the best italian nowadays' band. Noisy stoner/doom/screamo w/ two drummers that seems want to destroy everything at every time they hit the drum, and one guitar splitted in three amps for a totally destroying sound that becomes complete with a hopeless screamed vocals. The desperate fury of the first song rise and rise to fall, in the second, into clean melodies that got something of country songs and give a doomed feeling reminding of sad memories, and then rise again into epic bleak screamo just for then re-fall in the third track in a forlorn sort of lonely walking into a loneliness desert, just to prepare for the inner rebellion of the fourth and last song of the album that sounds like an angry liberating hymn. I think this one is really a must-have.

*Sangue Dischi / self released*

Vuur / Grinding Halt - split LP

9e

Post-grind hardcore Vuur from Belgium split with ex-Shikari grind-emoviolence Grinding Halt from the Netherlands. Intense destroying stuff, really cool.

*Shove / De Graanrepubliek / Heart On Fire*

With Love - iceage generation 7"

3e

One of the bands that built the today's italian screamo/posthardcore underground music scene, playing what i call "veneto post-hc", mixing the screamo and post-hc sound with improvvisations and noise effects, from where derived bands like A Flower Kollapsed, Putiferio and many more.

*Heroine*

Zann / Burial Year - split LP

9e

Deutschland/Us split, heavy chaotic screamo/hardcore, includes two covers of unbroken and chokehold. Gatefold package.
